Learning For Life (LFL) – Free classes for life enrichment taught by experts from the church and community. (Not for school credit)
Classes are offered in four-week terms on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm.
There will be a light meal, at no charge, at 5:30 pm.
Dates of next term: January 5, 12, 19, and 26
There will be programs and activities for children and youth of parents who are attending classes. If you are bringing children with you, please let us know their names and ages in the form below.
Some classes may be limited in number of participants. Sign up early since participants will be accepted by date of registration.
Next Term Classes:
COMPUTER BASICS: This class is for those who have no or limited experience with computers. You will learn such things as how to access and use the internet, how to set up and use a personal email, and how to use specific programs. If you already have some skills you will receive individualized instruction in how to proceed beyond your present level.
HOMEMADE GREETING CARDS: In this fun class, you will learn to make beautiful greeting cards such as birthday, get well, and thank you cards. Each week you will make four cards, and at the end of the term, you will take your own set of sixteen cards home.
SQUARE DANCE: This popular, return class is for beginners and those with experience in square dancing. Participants will learn and participate in doing traditional square dance steps as they dance with friends, new and old.
TAKING CARE OF BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Those who take this class will be taught by a group of professionals how to enter the new decade with a healthy attitude; everything you need to know about dementia; how to make the journey from mourning to joy; and will learn how to prevent falls for yourself and for those whom you may care for.
