Learning For Life (LFL) – Free classes for life enrichment taught by experts from the church and community. (Not for school credit)
Classes are offered in five or six-week terms on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm.
There will be a light meal, at no charge, at 5:30 pm, furnished and prepared by Concerned Women, Inc. of Grovetown.
Dates of next term: September 10, 17, 24, October 1, 8, and 158
There will be programs and activities for children and youth of parents who are attending classes. If you are bringing children with you, please let us know their names and ages in the form below.
Some classes may be limited in number of participants. Sign up early since participants will be accepted by date of registration.
Next Term Classes:
- Manage Your Money: Learn how to budget, how to balance a checkbook, how to protect your account from identity theft, and much more helpful information. This class is taught by a banking professional.
- Piano: Learn to recognize symbols of and to read a musical staff; to identify the location of notes on the piano keyboard, and to put what you’ve learned into practice on the piano. This class is taught by an experienced piano teacher and is limited to six students so sign up quickly.
- Sign Language: This class will be an introduction to both American Sign Language (ASL) and its culture. This visual and highly useful language is the primary means by which Deaf communicate. By the end of this class, one will understand both sentence structure and conversational expressions in ASL.
- Square Dance: This fun class is led by experienced square dancers. Come learn the basics or just join in for wholesome enjoyment. You’re sure to make new friends.
